2. What documents are accepted for KYC verification?

We accept the following documents for KYC verification:

  • National Identity Card (NIN)
  • International Passport
  • Driver’s License

 

3. Why was my KYC verification denied?

Your KYC verification might be denied due to:

  • Blurry or unreadable ID document
  • Mismatched details between the ID document and the provided information
  • Bad quality selfie or non-live photo submission
  • Expired ID document

 

4. What should I do if my verification was denied due to a bad proof of identity?

If your verification was denied due to bad proof of identity, follow these steps:

  1. Login to your BananaCrystal account.
  2. Navigate to the account settings and click on the verification section.
  3. Upload a clear and valid proof of identity:
    • Use a high-quality camera to take a clear photo of your ID.
    • Ensure all details are visible and readable.
    • If using an NIN slip, generate a digital NIN card via the NIMC Mobile App and upload it.

 

5. How can I generate a digital NIN card?

To generate a digital NIN card:

  1. Download the NIMC Mobile App from the App Store or Google Play.
  2. Input your NIN number from your slip into the app.
  3. Generate your digital NIN card and save it.
  4. Upload the digital card on the BananaCrystal platform for verification.

 

6. What if my NIN was obtained from a third-party approved center?

If your NIN was obtained from a bank or a network provider’s center:

  1. Generate a digital NIN

or

  1. Visit the nearest NIN office to get your original NIN card.
  2. Take a clear photo of the original card.
  3. Resubmit the photo on the BananaCrystal platform.

 

7. How long does the verification process take?

The verification process typically takes less than 30 minutes. If there are any issues with your documents, you will be notified via email with instructions on how to resolve them.
